What a must-win game this has become after the dreadful Denmark result. Portugal must take 6 points over the next 2 games, and this is the toughest.
Deco, Maniche, Carvalho and Simao are all out. The latter is a blessing.
My team would probably be:
--------------Quim
Bosingwa--Pepe---Alves----Antunes
---------Meireles-Moutinho
--Ronaldo--Danny/Martins---Quaresma
-------------Almeida

Sweden are a very efficient team, but they can be beaten.

Sweden are on of those typical teams where if you score early against them, they struggle at taking the game to their opponent. Portugal need to start strongly or I can see Sweden slogging it out for 90 mins at home. It's a game I'm quite nervous about

Not sure I even want to watch this as would dread the disappointment, these games make me too nervous. But I probably will end up watching it

Queiroz has been training with the following 11:
--------------Quim
Bosingwa--Alves----Pepe----Ferreira
--------------Meira
----------Meireles--Danny
Ronaldo--------------------Nani
-------------Gomes
Not too many complaints here, though I think Quim is just as weak as Ricardo, if not worse but the goalkeeper, like in England, is a real problem. Ferreira at left back is understandable considering the importance of this match and the quality of the opposition.
Meira in the anchor role also makes sense. Playing Meireles there is a waste, as Meireles is more a box to box midfielder, plus Meira is very good in the air and Sweden will be a real danger from set-pieces. Danny missed a couple of great chances in Denmark but his quality is there for all to see.
Gomes has found some good form for Benfica, and he impressed me in the Euros so makes sense ahead of Almeida, who though is more suited for the lone frontman role, is less prolific than Gomes. Lastly, Nani ahead of Quaresma is also understandable as Nani has been on very good form for the national team.
As for CR7, in Ronaldo we trust. He is due a big, big game for the national team. In the Euros he had a decent game against the Czech Republic but generally he has been poor in our last 8-10 matches. Time for him to deliver in a game which has arguably become our most important in this qualifying campaign.

Sweden have 9 out of the 11 who started the euros out with injury, and no the replacements are not even close to the standard. Best time in years to meet them.

Sweden are still going to be highly organised and have a big threat in Ibrahimovic.

Am surprised he didn't start Danny today. Portugal lacking a creative edge in midfield so Danny will come on sooner rather than later. Quaresma may well shake things up also.
Sweden have edged it in first half, had 3 or so good chances compared to 1 or 2 for Portugal. But the game is still finely poised. Ronaldo struggling a bit to get into the game. Maniche, Carvalho and Deco are sorely missed

A weakened Sweden side played a superb tactical game tonight, Portugal had next to nothing all game. Stay low and deny them any counter attacks while doubling up on Ronaldo is a very effective way of stopping them.

Ronaldo has been shit for us for some time, stopping him has not necessarily stopped Portugal. Our strength is in midfield, not with Ronaldo whose been pants for some time.
The midfield had no bite or creativity. Queiroz messed up by not starting Danny who would have given us teh creative outlet we lacked with Deco out. Maniche's drive was also sorely missed. We were very poor. PLayers like Ronaldo need to start taking a big look at themselves, he seems incapable of pulling out a performance for his country...a long way to go before he is fit to tie the laces of the likes of Figo and Rui Costa
