I'm sorry, you say something? I was too busy admiring the US' Gold Cup trophy and Confederations Cup invite. icon_mrgreen.gif

Meh....we'll see. Here's the latest from Steven Goff:

QUOTE
Matchday: USA-Colombia

I am hearing that Bob Bradley has, indeed, decided to field a lineup of players who have either not appeared yet in Copa or have seen limited playing time. That means Guzan, Boswell, Califf, Pearce, Nguyen, Beckerman, Gaven, Davies and Gomez, plus two others (Wynne? Clark?), in a match between sides that are heading home tomorrow. (I did not find out the formation or second-half substitution plans.) With nothing at stake, it makes sense, right?
music_man
Colombia kinda woke up in the second half in their game against Argentina, just as Argies started feeling tired and feeling the humidity. Still they were inferior to the albicelestes.
Can they upset this young US side? hard to tell dunno.gif
what do you predict? snack.gif
Galo
well it start in 5 min and i think, its only me following this match laugh.gif
calderone01
I'm following too, just the picture hadn't come up.
Oni
hey how many teams advance in 1 group???

3? if so, we get to the next round if we advance!
calderone01
Well that was quick. rolleyes.gif

On virtue of the game yesterday...Mexico and whoever, the US was "officially eliminated" Cesc.
St Oscar
God forbid someone in our defense marks anyone tightly on a cross.
Oni
well there's only 3 groups. in the gold cup it was the same, why isn't the same?

Asked and answered Cesc. Watch the match. tongue.gif

2 Wildcards I believe, and US ain't getting one.

It is the same. In our gold cup group only two advanced. Only the two best third place teams advance.
St Oscar
Why is it that when Johnson gets the ball he heads straight for the sideline?
Oni
so we don't have a chance because of all the goals we've conceded?
Galo
ffss cesc USA and Colombia are out because the 3rd teams of group A and B have 4 points tongue.gif

well someone could have just said that icon_mrgreen.gif
St Oscar
Moor got burned and Guzan's only shot was to leave the goal but went too far and now penal penal penal penalty.
Oni
Guzan makes a Keller mistake and then saves the PK. Well done. clap.gif

St Oscar
At least the US defense learned a lesson about jumping on free kicks.

I started watching about fifteen minutes in. How good was Columbia's first goal? I hope to god it wasn't another soft goal.
St Oscar
First half done with a 1-0 score. Both teams went attacking down the sidelines and the difference in the game is that nobody for the US can cross to save their life and a poor job of marking on the Colombian goal.

I thought Gomez made some nice runs but other than that it has been a pretty nondescript performance for everyone. Charlie Davies has to be a sub for Johnson who has done less than nothing.

Excellent header, but no coverage on the goalscorer. Defo not a soft goal though.

Hey, I'm glad, just worried about the fella.
calderone01
Who's the commentating team? First time I've listened to Gol and I like them alot.
Oni
I really hope Gaven can get back to his good form. Ever since he left New York, he hasn't been the same player. He started well with the Crew, but didn't hold it. He needs a change in clubs.

Cesc, the downfall started in NY and has just continued in Columbus. We've seen signs of late that he was turning......needs to continue though.
St Oscar
Johnson hasn't done anything right all night. He's gotten the ball a lot in the second half but never does anything with it.
brasil5x
both teams are playing decent

If Colombia win, they should dedicate this win to Escobar
brasil5x
that was no foul
brasil5x
good opportunity for the US

2nd Yellow, and where's my beer!!

Carded for timewasting. I'd wondered earlier if it was Dario Sala playing GK.
