in South America it is Robinho who will be star, who was one before he moved
ncsoccer
I've got a feeling it's not going to be either of them. In tournaments like this, there's always one big surprise.
brasil5x
lets see,Messi actually never played in South America
Rentboy
Probably Messi but I am hoping to see Diego rise up!

I'm surprised J R Riquelme aint on this list. dunno.gif ...
He was the star of the 2 legs of the final of this past Copa Libertadores and could well be the star of this Copa America as well, even if Argentina aint the champs snack.gif
Fox
Tevez grin.gif

he has the potential to be Argentina's biggest star though, being their #10 and their natural skipper/leader snack.gif
Galo
he is a great player but he has not show that in Argentina´s national team

probably he will this time dunno.gif
he's been in top form
Fabregas#4
Messi is the player I am most looking forward to watching going into this tournament. He has the potential to be the best. He is already in the top three best players in the World in my opinion and I hope he shines in this Copa America.
music_man
the star player so far? imo: Messi, followed by Robinho
viking
where is Diego...???
i vote for Diego
music_man
Today Robinho won first place with his hat trick for Brazil against Chile clap.gif

i vote for Diego

am surprised he's not been fielded against Chile...
I'd rather have him in midfield than Elano ....what's Dunga thinking? rolleyes.gif
music_man
the player with the most goals so far is Robinho...serious candidate for CA VIP award.
Poor Diego he's not been fielded much by Dunga rolleyes.gif
Riquelme has really impressed and made the difference for Argentina in this copa. So have Messi and Tevez (although the latter has scored only once so far but he's shown what he's capable of though).
Nery Castillo of Mexico has also impressed.
Surprisingly Xavier Mascherano, normally a defensive midfielder, has lodged 2 great goals for Argentina, one of them crucial. Still i doubt he's gonna be the CA star. rolleyes.gif icon_mrgreen.gif

He was extremely good in the world cup, dictating play through midfield. I don't know what else you expect of him?
