Messi is the best player going into the tournament, but I have a feeling that Robinho will shine in this one.

I've got a feeling it's not going to be either of them. In tournaments like this, there's always one big surprise.

hahaha send him back home
I'm surprised J R Riquelme aint on this list.

...
He was the star of the 2 legs of the final of this past Copa Libertadores and could well be the star of this Copa America as well, even if Argentina aint the champs

Messi is the player I am most looking forward to watching going into this tournament. He has the potential to be the best. He is already in the top three best players in the World in my opinion and I hope he shines in this Copa America.

I'd rather have him in midfield than Elano ....what's Dunga thinking?

the player with the most goals so far is
Robinho...serious candidate for CA VIP award.
Poor Diego he's not been fielded much by Dunga
Riquelme has really impressed and made the difference for Argentina in this copa. So have
Messi and
Tevez (although the latter has scored only once so far but he's shown what he's capable of though).
Nery Castillo of Mexico has also impressed.
Surprisingly
Xavier Mascherano, normally a defensive midfielder, has lodged 2 great goals for Argentina, one of them crucial. Still i doubt he's gonna be the CA star.

He was extremely good in the world cup, dictating play through midfield. I don't know what else you expect of him?
