They did a 12 (for each trophy) pub crawl in DC area where folks could get pictures with 2008 USOC.

I personally am very proud we seem to be pushing for this, even if we've been terrible as of late.

I was not able to make the trip. I will very soon though. Wednesday Night games across the continent, make it really hard to get to work the next day. Everything about the game was great..... the win, the traveling fans, the home fans and even the overall intensity of play. Only the idiot keeper tainted the event. I've never really liked Wicks because he has always been a hothead. But actually, up until he decided to go street thug on Montero, I though maybe DC had found a keeper....... who was a keeper. There has gotta be some mental stuff going on there..... which is too bad. Sorta. f**k WIcks! Here's to a budding rivalry between two teams that HAVE won trophies over the years.

Josh Wicks is a hero!!!

Yax..... they still have to win the cup. Finishing top of the table is an accomplishment, I suppose, but the USL playoffs crown the champ. Portland has ahd a good run. Let's see if it continues when the playoffs roll around. The Timbers have this knack for choking hard in the playoffs. In actuality, I wouldn't mind Portland winning something........ cheap meth isn't really all Portland fans should be happy about.

Playoff teams look like the usual suspects. Charleston and Puerto Rico are tough places to play come playoff time. The remaining regular season looks very easy for the Timbers........ hope they don't forget what a tough game is like.....

Are you really that annoyed? Imagine what it felt like to make it to our first major cup final since the Open Cup however many years ago and blow it. We sucked all season, were incredible in the playoffs, and then we fucked up big time. You have it good as a DC supporter

Annoyed? That's not the word, the english invented it, called "gutted", and means you feel like someone scooped out all your insides with ice cream scooper to be filled with booze and regret.

This is not some trifling amusement for some of us, it means far more than it should. I don't spend this much time and money on something and go "oh bother" when we lose or "that's nice" when we win. I don't care if Colorado is apathetic or Dallas is in purgatory, it still burns when it's your club that falls after a massive build up for a cup final. It is no consolation that "someone has to lose in a cup final" when it's your side doing it.

I just saw a video of Wick on Montero again. Have to say Montero is an uber cunt here- if wicks got him at all it was on his hand and his writhing in pain holding his face/shoulder.

It was stupid by wicks- but 5 bans- when you can't (on any of the videos I've seen) even tell if he touched him for sure is OTT IMO.

That guy could open tin cans with those teeth.
