The mad genius of Italian football, one of those naturally gifted players who comes along every generation. Before him was Baggio, then Del Piero and Totti, Cassano should really by now be thought of at least in the same breath as Totti and you could say only Baggio had the same repertoire of skills and dribbles to go with the vision and touch.
By now he should be considered amongst the greatest players in the world and an Italian football legend in the making, but he is completely insane and tameable to only a few.
It would be sad if he doesn't get another shot at a big club and with Italy before he is past his prime, but I think he would personally settle for Sampdoria and Italy. It's quite ironic that now Totti has retired and Del Piero is not far behind, with a team struggling for some creative spark, that an in-form genius such as Cassano is continually left out of the squad altogether. For Lippi he is trying to keep the squad together, but I think Cassano has calmed somewhat and there has to be space for him.
My favourite non-Juventus player in calcio when it comes to strictly football, it's as easy to him as walking.
