ZURICH, Nov 15 (Reuters) - Argentina coach Diego Maradona was banned for two months and fined 25,000 Swiss Francs ($24,630) by FIFA on Sunday for his foul-mouthed outburst after last month’s decisive World Cup qualifier in Uruguay.
The ban will run from Nov. 15 to Jan. 15 2010, FIFA said in a statement. It means his role as Argentina coach at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa will not be affected.
