Of the approximately 72,573 chances Ajax got to score a goal,.. they made exactly one. PAOK Saloniki had about half a chance, and made one. And that's the final score for that game. Even though the referee was a total joke, the real Joke was Ajax. If you could get a medal for avoiding the ball from ending up in the opponent's net,.. Ajax would have gotten 3 medals per player at least. Remotely reminds me of the Dutch NT.

Maybe a lack of sharpness with it being early in the season, there was certainly no problem last year.

Apparently there's a huge gap between Dutch club teams and those of really huge football nations like..... Greece. (lol). I guess we should feel lucky to even get one goal in.

Thing is we should've won this easily, with the amount of chances. We're really desperate for a decent CF

Finally we've signed a CF, after everything that happened Mounir El Hamdaoui has signed a contract.

Took long enough, but we really needed a freakin player for the position. Maybe things will start to pick up from here,... at least I have a good feeling about this now.

Lol, and we still didn't win. Amazing eh? The problem is that we tend to fail when it really matters. But maybe it's gonna get better now.

Me too, he could really play the role Pantalic played last season. But El Hamdaoui has got so much more going for him + hes younger than Panta as well. Just happy this is done and dusted now, with all the shit going on last few days I thought wed never get a CF

Not to dis Pantalic, but I don't think he was that great. Hami has way more potential and I expect way more from him. And yes, I am glad there's a bit of security and rest in the team (and around it) now. Bring on the competition!!!

Pantalic was by no means great, but he filled the position that needed to be filled. And he whole team improved around him

We didn't have a single CF and the league is starting in a week, so yeah I was a little worried. Now we do have a CF and quite a good one imo

saurez will dive alot so i wouldn't be worried about goals. Ajax will score plenty of goals this season, just have to score them more than just agains't the bottom half of the league
HT
Ajax 1-0 behind in the return. It's been a total drama to watch. If Gayax keeps on playing like this there's no way they'll ever go through. A total disgrace for the club. Defense is pretty much not there, and attacking it's as solid as diarrhea (at best). What a fucking horror to watch pretty much every single player perform below their worst level, and what a waste of time and money for the supporters that followed them to Greece. I'm not going to a single math this season, if I wanna see shit I just wont flush the toilet for a fucking week. What a joke.
5 minutes in second half and it's 1-2. Maybe miracles do happen.
Suarez and de Jong scored.
Still far from confident Ajax is going through. They're playing like crap. Let's hope this second half is at least worth watching.
1-3 for Ajax. In the 9th minute of the second half, Lindgren.
And yes, I do know I am talking to myself here. Leave me alone, I am happy in my bubble.
2-3 now. PAOK scores, Salpingidis (or however you write it).
Cirillo got yellow for being an asshole and ugly, and kicking de Jong into the grass.
Anita being a total fuckwit giving away a penalty. What a total midget c**t.
Stekelenburg keeps the penalty out of his goal. Miracles do exist!

So they found their scoring touch and now can't defend?
It's a freaking disaster in the defense. Van der Wiel looks like he's on the Greek payroll.
And it's 3-3. Fooking defense sucks wet leaking arse. What a bunch of amateurs.
FT
3-3, Ajax puled it through. Bunch of amateurs.

That was so....Dutch
That was seriously annoying to be honest. So typical to score three goals in 10 minutes and then almost give it away by playing like a bunch of Stevie Wonders.

Crap game from us really, should've won this easily, but we got the result which is all that matters. Hopefully v/d Wiel has his feet on the ground again, because we really need to step it up if we want to qualify.....

I was afraid it was just me, (almost) everyone I spoke to today said it wasn't a bad game
At least for the next round we get to use El Hamdaoui, but that won't solve any defensive problems we currently seem to have. Just hope this is a temporary form failure because if we keep defending like this we might as well play without a defense. We got seriously lucky yesterday; the pass from van der Wiel back to Stekelenburg could have been a goal, and that stopped penalty was a lucky break too. Makes a difference of two goals.
It's hard to believe that this team scored 106 goals in the
last competition season and only had 20 against; a goal difference of at least double that of any other team in the competition. But I guess that's the difference between competition and European football.

Was one of the worst pens I've seen for a while, he just hit it straight at his feet. Paok could've scored more, but so could we, in both legs we were the stronger team, but like you said the defense needs to step it up...Can't see where it will come from tho...
