Sky Sports News understands that Kilmarnock star striker Conor Sammon is set for a move to Wigan.

As reported earlier on Monday, the SPL outfit rejected a £425,000 offer from Derby County for Sammon.

But the Premier League Latics have now made an approach for the 24-year-old as they seek to bolster their attacking options for the relegation battle ahead.

Sammon has been in scintillating form for Mixu Paatelainen's troops this term, netting 18 goals, including 15 in the SPL.

The club had previously accepted an offer from Scunthorpe for his services.

That was about the number that were unhappy that I correctly predicted Diouf signing for Blackburn, don't feel bad. Fans need to get over what he does off the pitch and appreciate what he can do on the pitch. He's quite the creative force and I'm actually awaiting to see how much he dominates over there.
