Massive games this week..... One Playoff Spot Left, 4 teams competing for it.... Also major fighting for seeding, particularly in the East.
Clinched:
Galaxy
Sounders
Salt Lake
Wizards
Union
Crew
Dallas
Rapids
Dynamo
Still in Play:
Red Bull - 43 (1 game)
Timbers - 40 (2 games)
Fire -40 (1 game)
DCU -38 (2 games)
Union v. Red Bull will be massive.... the Sons of Ben alone are bringing 700+ for the Thursday match, and I suspect others will make the ride hoping the Zolos can eliminate Red Bull and at the same time finish first in the East... could see close to 1000 Union fans total I'd suspect.
That being said, any of the 4 east teams that already clinched can finish first in the East, Houston, KC, Union or C-bus.
Timbers have their back against the wall.... DC and Chicago even more-so..... Timbers vs. DC will be Huge.

Congrats on winning the elimantion game CK.. I'll take second for the first season and joining late

Also, why the heck are games spread out over days- and not all final matches on the final day. If NYRB wins there game on Thurs.... then Timbers, Fire & DC's last games don't matter. It's a joke. Imagine how exciting it becomes if all the games are played at the same time.

^ Maybe they want to make it like the last week of matches in Europe? Where none of the games really matter?

That being said, you can bet your ass Philly is going to be trying to get a win at Red Bull arena..... and Henry out for that Red Card is only going to help our cause ;)
this is where the real rivalries are going to start forming...
I'm done. This season has been brutal, long road trips to losing, gutting performances. I have nothing left for 2011, we are not good enough to be a playoff side. Crash, burn, rise from the ashes in 2012. Vamos...next year!
Hell...I hope Portland win last two and New York get destroyed by Union.
Sad days these.

If we had played like this just against Vancouver and Chicago be fine, ifs and buts...
COME ON PORTLAND (love to see them clip NY for last spot)

I think the same thing. If ony we hadn't thrown away that lead at home to NY, if only we'd had that kind of intensity against teams like San Jose & Houston.. if only Alex Prus didn't let Henry ref the game.
COME ON UNION!

Reports now saying Union fans could 1200!?
Imagine if this game was on a weekend!!!!
"Fun" fact. United now have gone 4 seasons without playoffs, and 7 out of last 12 years missing out.
Yah...?
All I know is "glory hunting" in MLS is impossible.

The Union are going to be licking some Red Balls by the end of the night, Thierry Henry scores a hat trick 3-2.

Heyyyy we won! Now it's time to collapse in the first round of the playoffs
So, this ends a terrible season.
Oh, and this weekend is now largely pointless for all involved. Nice.
Watch playoffs as neutral (again!). I'll cal Kansas City over Seattle right now.

We looked like shit.... not good going into the playoffs in this form.....
Likely play Columbus, be a competitive meeting.
