I read a story that he us set to join Juventus? Paços Ferreira left back also Portugal U21, anybody know much about him or heard anything?
I read he is also wanted by English clubs including the Villarse.

Heard a bit about him...he's been brilliant this season, I think this has been his first full season and is being touted as the answer to Portugal's left back prayers (Ferreira played at LB against Belgium!!!)

A lot of promise and potential, could be a cheeky little buy for Villa who have been linked with him, but Juve would be a much better option for him...I haven't watched him enough to know his best and worse traits, but he looks pretty good from what I've seen

Am sure FRank will know a bit more

It looks like we have our two left backs for next season in place now (Chiellini and Molinaro) so I would be surprised if we signed him. I guess it is not confirmed anyway if you didn't know.

better get him now, next year will be worth 20million euros

He looked very neat and confident against Belgium, more than could be said about the guy in front of him, very disappointed in him.

LOL, Nani didn't have a good game at all did he? We seemed quite lethargic but think it's good we got that out of the way and still got something out of it....Portugal will kick on now

This article came up on the C4 Football Italia site:

Three who seem set to be wearing Bianconeri's colours next season are Sergio Almiron, Vincenzo Iaquinta and Antunes.

Iaquinta has been a long-term target for Juve and only the smaller details of the deal remain to be resolved.

"In one, at the most two weeks, we will make official the signing of a major Italian champion," said Juve president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli - hinting at Iaquinta's deal.

Likewise Empoli's Almiron is set to snub interest from Internazionale and Milan.

Juve are said to pay cash whilst loaning Matteo Paro, Sebastian Giovinco and Rey Volpato as part of the deal.

Portuguese full back Antunes is also on his way to Turin.

The two clubs are understood to have agreed a deal with his club Pacos Ferreira and now only personal terms now need to be resolved

Excellent news for the national team...hopefully a good bit of business for Juve if he fulfills potential from his first full season

It might not be good news in the short term though, unless he moves Chiellini to central defence and/or doesn't sign Molinaro. There is a strong chance he will be loaned out to another Serie A side if it goes through.

I would have thought that be the most likely. Can't see him getting into the team this season...think that would work out even better for him and for Juve...he can prove himself in that league without the pressure of playing for the Old Lady straight away...

Should get a chance to see him on from the start tonighth against the Dutch.

Goncalves has a knock and Antunes is almost certain to start at left back. I predict a much better Portugal performance tonight

He looked decent, he likes to get forward and has a nice touch, not to shabby a defender. All the Portuguese I have heard comment on him have nothing but positive things to say.
I also heard that numerous Portuguese tv channels have said the deal is done, be nice if it's true.

I thought our right back looked very impressive last night actually. Joao Pereira, the little live wire with the trendy hairstyle. Will have to look out for him in the future

Apparently the deal to sign Antunes is done, the price is £1.4m and he will be loaned to Vicenza next season. Nothing confirmed yet though.

Sounds good. Hopefully it's the start of a promising career
