TOKYO, June 13 (Reuters) - Japanese police have arrested J-League club Jubilo Iwata midfielder Naoya Kikuchi on suspicion of having sex with a 15-year-old girl, in violation of a local law that prohibits sex with those below 18.
The 22-year-old Kikuchi has admitted to having sex with the high school student in a car in late May, a local police official said on Wednesday.
The arrest came after girl reported the case to the police with a wallet containing Kikuchi's driver's license, the official added.
Kikuchi, who was a member of Japan's 2004 Athens Olympics squad, tried to hand her 10,000 yen ($82) in cash, but forgot his wallet in the basket of her bicycle, according to the police. ($1=121.69 Yen)

You have to be ever so careful with girls in Japan, many look so young and it is easy to be negligent if you are an idiot like he must be.
Kikuchi is a promising player, shame he is in danger of ruining his career.

Well it happens a lot, even though it's illegal. Often the girls actively persue this compensated dating so they can buy designer clothing, it's pretty sad really.
Kikuchi left his wallet behind, so he got caught, but I'd bet many of his team-mates do it regularly.
