Floccari to Juve, says agent
The agent of Atalanta striker Sergio Floccari expects the talented hitman to sign for Juventus next summer.
The 27-year-old has been lethal for the Orobici over the last two seasons and the Bergamo boys are resigned to losing him to a bigger club at the end of the current campaign.
Roma had been favourites to secure Floccari's signature, but recently Juventus have joined the race and seem set to win it.
“Neither Roma nor Lazio have ever contacted me or shown any interest,” agent Vincenzo Morabito told Laromasiamonoi.it.
“Juventus were following Floccari in January. He seemed to be the prime candidate to replace Vincenzo Iaquinta, who looked like he was going to leave.
“However, Iaquinta stayed put and Sergio stayed at Atalanta for the time being.
“Nonetheless I think Floccari will join Juventus in the end. They are very keen on him and I know that they have even negotiated a fee with Atalanta.
“Their valuation was around £7m because Atalanta aren't willing to accept a co-ownership deal.”
http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/feb18f.html----------------------
This move has been talked about for some time.
Strange really, it seems like the Iaquinta scenario all over again; prolific tall striker playing for a provincial side, about the same age, and would pretty much be 4th choice striker also.
I think Floccari deserves a chance at a big club but he may have to wait for his chance at Juventus.

Bayern Munich Star Franck Ribery Could Make Juventus Move - Agent
The representative for the French star has revealed that the Bianconeri’s dream of landing his client is achievable.
Juventus have already started planning for next summer’s transfer campaign and, along with Sampdoria ace Antonio Cassano and Werder Bremen star Diego, one of the names that has been circulating in recent weeks is that of Bayern Munich attacking midfielder Franck Ribery.
However, it has been suggested that Juve's directors have little chance of securing his services as the Bundesliga giants are not thought to be willing to allow their superstar to leave.
“Juventus’ charm today is not inferior to that of [Zinedine] Zidane’s era,” explained Ribery’s agent, Alain Migliaccio, who also represented ‘Zizou’ in the past, to Tuttosport.
“The Bianconeri went down to hell but it’s not by chance that they managed to get out of it and their current directors deserve credit for it. We are still talking about one of the most important clubs in Europe.”
A poll conducted by Tuttosport recently showed that Ribery is the Old Lady supporters’ preferred summer target.
“Did he really get more votes than all his rivals? That is amazing,” enthused Migliaccio.
“Juve fans can rest assured that their dream is not impossible. It’s hard for me to tell you now if this will happen but it is definitely not an impossible dream.”
AlexRossi
Feb 18 2009, 05:21 PM
Even though I doubt it will happen I think I would rather see this move over the Cassano move.
With this we can keep our 4-4-2 and Ribery will be a direct replacement for Nedved.
JuveJay
Feb 18 2009, 05:32 PM
Ribery would be the perfect signing, he could galvanise the team and easily replace Nedved, but he would cost about €35m and his agent is just touting him about. It depends if the board want to spend nearly all the CL money on one player or keep some for some quality fullbacks.
AlexRossi
Feb 18 2009, 05:38 PM
If that is the price we can afford it if we really wanted to. But I can picture Real Madrid or Chelsea beating us to it.
Lets just say we do somehow sing Ribery, we could also sell Zebina, Poulsen, Molinaro and Iaquinta and buy two quality wing backs if not more.
JuveJay
Feb 19 2009, 01:03 PM
I think these should go this summer:
Zebina - €1m (€15K - €780K)
Iaquinta - €10m (€30K - €1.5m)
Nedved - retired (€40K - €2m)
Salihamidzic - €1m (€30K - €1.5m)
Molinaro - €4m (€12K - €600K)
Andrade - free (€40K - €2m)
I've added up the wage and the money saved, in fees - €16m, in saved wages - €8m. That is about €24m freed in fees and wages saved, add CL revenue and general improved deals and it gives us a fair bit to play with this summer.

Juve chief guarantees big swoop
Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has promised that Juventus will sign a “great champion” this summer despite the current economic climate.
The Old Lady are expected to sign a big-name star to galvanise their squad for next season's Scudetto bid.
But Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has warned that the summer transfer market will be slow due to the lack of funds in the game at the moment.
“I think Galliani was talking sense and I agree with him on several counts,” Juve President Cobolli Gigli told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“It is certainly more complicated running a football team in Italy than in other nations and calcio is lagging behind when it comes to structure.
“However, I should remind everyone that Juve are the first club to build their own ground without jeopardising the sporting side.
“We will be fine in the short-term because most of our sources of income are guaranteed.
“We have plans and we are looking for a great champion to replace Pavel Nedved.
“It goes without saying that we will be careful, but we have enough money for a big signing.
“We will definitely reinforce the team and the Old Lady will come back even stronger next season.”
Juve have been strongly linked with Valencia ace David Silva and Werder Bremen midfielder Diego in recent weeks.

'No signing is impossible' for Juve
Juventus chief Giovanni Cobolli Gigli claims “no signing is impossible” this summer, but he's keeping his cards close to his chest.
The Old Lady look likely to finish second in Serie A this season as Inter have a commanding seven-point advantage.
If the Bianconeri are to overhaul their rivals next term they will need to invest heavily in the summer and they have been linked with Diego, Antonio Cassano and David Silva recently.
“Jean-Claude Blanc has always stated that our objective is to find a replacement for Pavel Nedved,” Cobolli Gigli told Sky Sport Italia.
“Nothing is impossible, but I can't reveal any names. We will balance the books this year thanks to the Champions League, which is important for the future of the club.
“It's obvious that there will be some action in the transfer market, but there will be no major departures.
“Every club has to find the right balance between income and expenditure.”
The Juve supremo concluded by discussing this season's Scudetto race.
“We have a 30 per cent chance of winning the title,” he calculated. “We still have a direct confrontation with Inter and even though our chances are quite slim we still believe.”
--------------------
We will see Cobolli, we will see. I don't think the fans can be palmed off with Tiago or Poulsen this summer.

Juventus target Subotic
Juventus are being linked with a move for Neven Subotic, the 20-year-old Borussia Dortmund centre-back.
The Bianconeri have been scouring the Bundesliga for talent in recent months and are prepared to make Subotic their latest import from Germany.
Juventus recently signed Sami Khedira and Serdar Tasci from Stuttgart and are also monitoring Werder Bremen trequartista Diego.
Subotic has impressed the Bianconeri's scouting staff with his height and goalscoring ability in this his first season for Dortmund.
He has scored five goals for Die Borussen and made his debut for Serbia on Saturday against Romania.
Subotic, who grew up in the United States of America, is reportedly worth £10m, but an offer of £8m would apparently be enough to tempt Dortmund into selling him.
Juventus face significant competition for his signature, though, as Liverpool, Tottenham, Bayern Munich, Fiorentina and Roma are also on his tail.

Juventus Eye Tottenham Hotspur Defender Gareth Bale - ReportThe energetic Welsh international has caught the attention of the Bianconeri...
Over the past few weeks, Juventus officials have promised reinforcements in the summer and it appears one of the names on their shortlist is Tottenham defender Gareth Bale, according to Tuttosport.
The 19-year-old is considered a hot prospect in Europe and the Bianconeri are reportedly interested in bringing him to the club to compete for the left-back position with Cristian Molinaro and Paolo De Ceglie.
However, the Italian based club will have to fend off interest from Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester United, who have also been impressed by the former Southampton player.
As a possible replacement, Spurs are considering a move for Real Madrid's Gabriel Heinze. The Argentine international has already had a stint in England, playing for Manchester United between 2004 and 2007.
Bale has made 27 appearances in all competitions for the north London based outfit this season.

Derby d'Italia for Dentinho

The 20-year-old Corinthians striker is attracting interest all over Europe with his dazzling form in his homeland.

According to Sportmediaset, Juve have already tabled a £9.5m bid for Dentinho, but Corinthians are waiting to see if any other offers arrive.

Secco pledges Juve signings
Juventus transfer guru Alessio Secco assures next season will have big signings to take them to silverware.
“The club has the funds to complete the growth programme with some important new buys,” he told Goal.com.
“We are working to set up a squad capable of making another step up in terms of quality. I am convinced next season will bring us a lot of excitement and the satisfaction our fans deserve. The objective is to improve.”
Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport are calling for Coach Claudio Ranieri’s head after falling 10 points behind Inter in the Scudetto race, even before they go head to head this evening.
“Only two seasons ago Juve were in Serie B, while now we are second in the table,” noted Secco.
“In our first term back in Serie A we finished third. Now we want to end the season in second place and win the Coppa Italia. That would be our first post-Calciopoli trophy and it means a lot to us.”
Juve must first fight back from a 2-1 first leg semi-final defeat to Lazio on Wednesday evening.
“The primary objective that stands before anything else is automatic qualification for the Champions League. We honoured the competition this term and must not forget we topped the so-called ‘Group of Death’ by twice beating Real Madrid.
“We fought on a par with Chelsea, who are now in the final four, so we did well in Europe.
----------------------------
That's all well and good Secco but we have to finished second and win the Coppa Italia to say it was better than last season.
Also what he considers important signings is usually not what we do.
Amauri was an important signing, Tiago and Poulsen were not. Not because of the fees - although you usually get what you pay for - but because of their standing.
Important has to mean exciting signings, quality players.

Quaglia 'agrees' Juve deal
Fabio Quagliarella has already told Juventus he will sign for them this summer, according to Turin based daily newspaper Tuttosport.
The 26-year-old Udinese attacker has been lined up as a replacement for David Trezeguet, who is expected to leave the Bianconeri at the end of the season.
Quagliarella was reportedly in Milan on Monday where he had lunch with his father, Juventus director of sport Alessio Secco and the club's chief scout Renzo Castagnini.
The meeting allegedly took place at the Hotel Principe di Savoia and Tuttosport's sources say everyone was smiling at the end of the meal.
Quagliarella has been one of the best players in Serie A over the last three years. He has scored 17 goals in 41 appearances for Udinese this season.
http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/apr23l.html---------------------
The way Trez has played (not sure if that is the right word) since he has come back suggests something is not quite right.
Quagliarella is a very good player, but will be give us what Trezeguet in his prime can, ie 20+ goals? I'm not sure.

Juve renew Alonso interest
Juventus will once again try and persuade Liverpool and Spain midfielder Xabi Alonso to move to Turin this summer, according to the Sun.
The Bianconeri were in talks with the 27-year-old former Real Sociedad youngster at the end of last season when he looked set to leave Anfield.
Liverpool were then doing everything to replace Alonso with Aston Villa and England midfielder Gareth Barry.
The Reds are expected to try again for Barry this summer despite Alonso's excellent performances this season.
Uncertainty over his future has led Juventus to get back in touch and self-proclaimed Italian super agent Ernesto Bronzetti is at the heart of the deal.
“I will try and bring in Alonso for the Juventus central midfield,” Bronzetti told the Sun. “There was a long chase last summer for his signature, of course, so it is a road we know.
“Pairing him with Momo Sissoko would be a title-winning midfield. The problem is that it would be very hard and expensive to take such an important player away from Liverpool.”
On failing to land Alonso last summer, Juventus brought in Christian Poulsen, the veteran Denmark international, from Sevilla.
Poulsen has suffered several niggling injuries and, as a consequence, has failed to hold down a regular place in the Juventus starting line up.
---------------------
Rather him than Poulsen or Tiago, but I think that boat has left the harbour. Bronzetti can talk all he wants but at the end of the day our sporting directors buy the players.

I don't see Liverpool selling him unless it's a massive offer. If they'd wanted to let go of Alonso he'd have gone to Arsenal last summer, but then again who knows what will happen, either way he'd be a good addition to your team, quality player.

Seems stupid to go for him this season, we could have had him for £13m-£14m last summer but Ranieri didn't want him, now Liverpool would want £3m-£4m more. They do need to sell and he does have a lot of central midfielders, but I think Benitez is probably looking more to get rid of players like Lucas, Leto, Babel, Voronin etc rather than Alonso.
Ranieri might not be here this summer though.....

Conte has Walcott in mind
Antonio Conte will try to sign Arsenal winger Theo Walcott if he replaces Claudio Ranieri as Juventus Coach this summer, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.
Ranieri's position at Juventus has weakened significantly over the last month as his side slipped to third in Serie A.
Should Ranieri sacked at the end of this season, Conte, the Bari Coach and Juventus legend, is the favourite for the job.
Conte reportedly has a list of five names he would like to make Juventus players in time for next season.
The most interesting is that of Walcott, who has become a regular fixture in the England team under former Juventus Coach Fabio Capello.
Walcott's star has been in the ascendancy ever since he scored a hat-trick for the Three Lions against Croatia last September.
The 20-year-old is regarded as one of the hottest prospects in English football and has scored five goals in 27 appearances for Arsenal this season.
The other names on Conte's list include Fabio Cannavaro, David Silva, Xabi Alonso and Diego Milito.
Notice the absence of Werder Bremen's Diego, who, despite being heavily linked with Juventus, does not fit in Conte's tactical system.
http://www.channel4.com/sport/football_italia/may1h.html---------------
A few things:
- Conte isn't coach.
- We have enough injury-prone players.
- That transfer list would cost about €80m.
In other news we have been linked with a swap for Thiago Motta with our Tiago Mendes. Seems like artistic license there, Motta seems to worth quite a bit of money these days. Amazing for a player they picked up for free.

Lavezzi 'agrees Juve move'
Juventus have come to an agreement with the agent of Argentine striking star Ezequiel Lavezzi, according to Press reports.
The Old Lady will look to strengthen their squad this summer after their 2008-09 campaign fizzled out.
Sporting director Alessio Secco has a vast number of alleged targets, but a long-term ambition has been to bring Lavezzi to Turin.
The man known as 'El Pocho' has become a hero in Naples over the last two years and even has a pizza named after him in the city.
However, with the Vesuviani destined for mid-table, Lavezzi may look to relocate to one of the peninsula's giants.
According to Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, a deal has already been agreed between Lavezzi's agent and Juve that will see the player net nearly £2.5m per season for five years.
However, the two clubs must still reach an agreement and Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis is unlikely to accept an offer short of £15m.

LOL, this would go down well in Naples

However it is from Crapposport so I don't believe a word of it. Erm, why do we need another forward? Wouldn't that money be better spent on some defenders? Lavezzi's form has also dipped in the second half of the year. It doesn't really make sense.

Criscito for Juve return
Juventus-owned defender Domenico Criscito will return to Turin from Genoa at the end of the season, according to his representative.
The former Azzurrini star has been on loan at Marassi where he has impressed in an overachieving side.
Genoa could try to sign Criscito permanently, but his agent expects him to return to the Stadio Olimpico.

Juve look to Lazio ace
Lazio defender Aleksandar Kolarov is a new transfer target for Juventus, according to Press reports.
The Old Lady will look to galvanise the squad this summer in a bid to secure the Scudetto next term.
One position that needs reinforcement is left-back with Christian Molinaro out injured for around four months and Paolo De Ceglie's future still not certain.
According to Tuttosport, Juve are lining up Lazio man Kolarov after an impressive season from the Serbian.
The 23-year-old is versatile and can also help fill the gap on the left wing that Pavel Nedved's retirement will create.

Juve prepare Fabio swoop
Juventus have stepped up their interest for Udinese ace Fabio Quagliarella as Inter threaten to move first.
The Old Lady will be looking to strengthen their striking line this summer with French international David Trezeguet expected to leave.
Azzurri marksman Quagliarella continues to impress at the Stadio Friuli and he has been widely tipped to join one of the peninsula's giants.
Juve have been watching Quagliarella for months, but Inter boss Jose Mourinho is also an admirer of the talented hitman and the champions are said to be preparing a bid.
Stunned into action, Juve sporting director Alessio Secco met with Udinese counterpart Pietro Leonardi yesterday and they reportedly began formal negotiations for a transfer.

As much as I like Quagliarella, I just do not see the logic in the move. Iaquinta is not only on fire right now, but in the short 2 years that he has been here he has become a fan favorite and somewhat a icon on the club. We have Del Piero, while he cant play an entire season anymore he can deferentially rip it up for half a season. Amuri showed us his potential before he got injured and we cannot forget about Trez, who can give us 20+ goals a season. He just needs a coach to give him another chance. And we still have Gio who is rotting away on the bench.
If we get Diego we must focus on buying two solid defenders so we can stop conceding 2+ goals a game.

Rumors are surfacing that Aston Villa want Mellberg back, and Juventus are considering the move. Personally I think Mellberg has been pretty good at the back. Juve targets emerging Juventus are weighing up their transfer targets but could also be set to lose one of their promising youngsters according to reports in Italy.
The Bianconeri are looking to strengthen their squad as they prepare to hire their new boss. The first name on their list is Gaetano D’Agostino.
The Udinese player would be ideal to partner Momo Sissoko in midfield, as well as newly signing Diego, but the Friulani have set a high price.
However, Juve’s left-back Paolo De Ceglie could be heading out the door after it was revealed that Liverpool have cast their eyes over the Italian youngster.
“Liverpool are seriously interested,” explained De Ceglie’s agent Carlo Pallavicino. “It all depends on Andrea Dossena and whether they will sell him. If they do then they would like to replace him with De Ceglie.”
Goran Pandev could also move to Turin this summer although Lazio President Claudio Lotito won’t let go of him easily.
“Goran has already expressed his wish to go and Juve would be a good option for him,” mused Pallavicino.
“But there are also several Spanish and German clubs interested so the Bianconeri better be quick.”
The last name on the Bianconeri wish list is an expensive but intriguing one – Eduardo Salvio.
The 19-year-old Argentine has been linked to the Old Lady in the past and has made himself known following the South-American U-20 Championship played in Venezuela.
“Salvio is a great player with a fantastic future ahead of him,” noted his agent Augustin Jimenez.
“Juventus seem very interested but they will have to beat the competition of many other Italian clubs who are just waiting for the right moment to make an offer.”
Genoa, Palermo and Inter are also thought to be interested.

Three names that have been around for weeks or months.
Pandev - no thanks, good but not needed.
Salvio - an interesting one, a bit of a gamble, a new Aguero maybe.
D'Agostino - I like him a lot but how many central midfielder do we want? We would have to sell Almiron and Poulsen or Tiago just to make room for all of them. Sissoko, Zanetti, Marchisio, D'Agostino, Tiago/Poulsen.

Juve targets emerging
Juventus are weighing up their transfer targets but could also be set to lose one of their promising youngsters according to reports in Italy.
and to add to that most continental clubs have to watch out for poachers and child traffickers from English clubs with money to burn

I would take Andrea Dossena with open arms, but as along as we keep De Ceglie. We can sell Molinaro.
Pandev - Dont Need
D'Agostino - Dont need. Sissoko and Marchisio are two quality players and Tiago/Zanetti are solid backups. Poulsen should be sold this summer. If the club does decide to buy a DM they should go for Alonso.

I'm not sure about Dossena, he is pretty good and better than Molinaro but I think there are better players around.
