I think with a squad as fit as Inter's has been over the season you would be looking at a gap of a couple of points if that.

that's some injury list, how big is Juve's squad?
JuveJay

About 25-26 players in the first team, so at the time half was injured. Nedved, Marchionni and Chiellini are back now, although not fully fit.

Still gave Roma a whopping at the weekend, even with a big injury list, and in Rome as well.

Mar 23 2009, 03:04 PM
Roma also had a massive injury and suspension list though (Totti, Perrotta, Cassetti, Juan, Cicinho, Taddei, Aquilani - Diamoutene, Motta, De Rossi, Pizarro), and their squad is smaller. They only had youth team players to come on really.

They have had one or two, notably when they played Man Utd actually, but overall nothing in comparison to Juve, Roma and Milan who have all been hit hard. Interestingly they are also the biggest team in the league phyiscally, the most 'English' of any side.

Given Milan's form last year and the fact they haven't
really challenged for a long time I think it is a fair call as far as they are concerned, agree with Roma but then they are pretty much stuck to the level of last year. The guy isn't a Juve fan but I think the point he is making is that of the teams who have had bad injuries, Juve would have been the most likely to topple Inter.

Juve's infirmary empties The international break has worked wonders for Juventus as Claudio Ranieri can welcome back a host of players for the game against Chievo.
The Old Lady are trying to keep the pressure on leaders Inter as they host lowly Chievo.
Azzurri winger Mauro Camoranesi has shrugged off his injury problems and young defender Paolo De Ceglie is finally fit after suffering a collapsed lung earlier in the season.
Marco Marchionni is also available and former Inter man Cristiano Zanetti is likely to be back in action.
Nicola Legrottaglie is unlikely to make it back for the Turin battle against Chievo, but he is on the road to recovery.
Amauri remains injured, but he is focusing on featuring in the Derby d'Italia against Inter on April 19.

Iaquinta needs operation Juventus are reeling this morning after it emerged Vincenzo Iaquinta will need an operation on his left knee.
The 29-year-old has torn his meniscus and will be out for at least a month.
He is the third Juventus player to suffer the injury this season after Claudio Marchisio and Gigi Buffon.
Marchisio went under the knife earlier this month while Buffon has put off surgery until after Juventus’ match with Inter on December 6.
Iaquinta has been excellent for Juventus so far this season, scoring four goals in eight appearances in all competitions.
He is the Bianconeri’s top scorer in 2009-10.

Not if you discount missing our best striker this season, our best midfielder this season, and our talisman who has been top scorer for the last three years and top assister in two of those three years for all of the season so far.
I expect a big pick up in terms of attack when Del Piero returns, and it's no coincidence our form has dropped since Marchisio has been out.

Chiellini out for a month? There are fears Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini could be out for a month after a suspected thigh strain.
The Italian international pulled up during the final stages of last night’s 2-1 victory away to Fiorentina.
Juve had completed their substitutions, so he had to limp on in a more advanced role that did not require him to run.
There are fears Chiellini suffered a thigh strain, an injury that would keep him out for a month.
The defender also played 90 minutes in Italy’s 0-0 friendly with Cameroon on Wednesday, but Alberto Zaccheroni did not complain.
“I understand Marcello Lippi’s intentions, as it was his final test before naming the World Cup squad and Giorgio is one of the youngest. We have no issue with that.”
It would be the latest in a series of around 50 injuries in the Bianconeri squad this season.
Mauro Camoranesi, Gianluigi Buffon, Amauri, Sebastian Giovinco and Martin Caceres are all out with muscular problems.
Vincenzo Iaquinta made his comeback this weekend after four months on the sidelines, while Christian Poulsen also returned from a long lay-off.
Alessandro Del Piero was unable to feature in Florence due to a muscular twinge, an increasingly common problem in the Juventus squad.
Momo Sissoko and Paolo De Ceglie also limped off during the Fiorentina match.

Around 80% of our injuries over the last three years have been muscular strains/twinges, that is not normal. It is killing us and costing us points, money and potentially more, something needs to be done about it, it's a disgrace how many injuries we pick up.
