1-1 final, Napoli are the new Montreal Canadiens, show up for the last 10 minutes and get a result. huh.gif

It's a poor result though really, although quite typical for post-CL.

Napoli have supposedly signed Eduardo Vargas from Universidad de Chile, for around €12m.

If seen him and he has a very good eye for goal, speed and touch, strong signing for Napoli. He could be the next big South American star.

Mazzarri is still blaming the CL for Napoli's continual league failures this season, despite them having not played a CL game since god knows when laugh.gif

Maradona: 'I'd be Napoli Coach, but...'

Diego Armando Maradona has confessed he’d “love to become the Napoli Coach,” but is prevented from doing so by a 1980s indiscretion.

El Pibe de Oro is still considered a living legend in Naples, where giant murals adorn the city and the memories of his Scudetto-winning exploits remain strong.

“I’d love to become the Napoli Coach,” he told Jornada Online in Argentina. “I could well give it a go, but only if the Italian State stops forcing me to pay €40m in taxes.

“At the time I signed a contract with the club that excluded taxes. I try to point out that situation, but every time I set foot in Italy I have to hand over a watch or a ring as payment. It was a mistake by those who dealt with my affairs in the 80s.

“God chooses where I will work, so I am not worried by the future.”

Maradona is currently the manager of Dubai club Al-Wasl and took Argentina to the 2010 World Cup.

Shame De Laurentiis is such a prick, I might respect him more.

Watching Napoli-Catania, 0-0 so far, not too many clear-cut chances yet but still a really nice flow to the game, not many interruptions. Looks like a sold-out San Paolo, which is pretty impressive, it's such an old, crumbling stadium but at the same time it's so cool to watch matches there because it feels like watching a match from the early 90s, seeing as that's the last time the stadium saw any kind of renovation. laugh.gif It's like a time warp.

Oh and as I type this, Dzemaili scores a thunderbolt from 30 yards, 1-0 Napoli. laugh.gif

Whoops, 2-0, Cavani hits the post, Spolli totally misses the clearance and concusses himself against the goalpost, comes back to Cavani and his next shot goes off the post and in. Game over, not really deserved for Catania since they've had a good game overall, but that's the way it goes.

LOL, I spoke way too soon, 2-2! ohmy.gif Extraordinary. Both goals game from corners, the first by Spolli and the 2nd by Lanzafame who celebrates with a display of simian aggression, butting heads and bumping chests with Lodi and Izco. hahaha.gif

Lanzafame, the new gay Ronaldo, according to Conte back in Bari icon_mrgreen.gif
