Serie A is back on UK television screens this season, as ESPN will show up to three live games per week as well as the Italian Super Cup.
The newly-launched channel is already transmitting the Italian Super Cup clash between Inter and Lazio on August 8 from 13.00 UK time.
It has now been confirmed that ESPN have an exclusive TV rights deal to broadcast live Serie A games in 2009-10.
Their coverage begins with Siena-Milan on August 22, then reigning Scudetto holders Inter welcome Bari on August 23.
"We're very pleased to be able to broadcast the Italian Serie A,” said ESPN EMEA Vice-President Jeroen Oerlemans.
“As one of the best leagues in the world, the live coverage will sit nicely with our Barclays Premier League, Clydesdale Bank Premier League and Bundesliga matches, making the channel the number one stop for football fans around the UK in SD and HD."
ESPN is available in standard and high definition on Sky and Virgin Media, while the standard definition channel can also be accessed through Top Up TV and BT Vision.
