The three Italian teams will wear black armbands in the Europa League tonight after the Kabul bombing, but ultras want the matches postponed.
Italy is in mourning after six soldiers were killed in a suicide bombing in Afghanistan this morning.
UEFA have given permission for Genoa, Lazio and Roma to wear black armbands, while there will be a minute’s silence held before kick-off in the two games played in Italy.
There will also be a minute’s silence ahead of every Serie A and B match this coming weekend.
However, that is not considered enough for the ultra’ movement of hardline fans, who have launched an appeal.
“Italian football has to stop to honour the heroic officers of the Folgore regiment, killed today in Kabul,” said the statement from the Co-ordinator of Ultras groups Roberto Greco.
“Football has the chance to prove that it cannot roll over human lives for the sake of money. It would be a scandal if the Italian teams stepped on to the field on the day six soldiers died.
“In any case, whatever decision the clubs make, the ultras groups will abandon the stadiums in Genoa, Basel and Rome.”
Genoa welcome Slavia Prague and Lazio take on Salzburg, while Roma travel to Switzerland for the game with Basel.
