Of the 264 players in Copa America, 34 play in Mexico, the country that has the biggest number of athletes represented in the American Continent’s main soccer competition. Spain, with 23 players, is the second country in number of players in Copa America. The country is also first, not counting the competition’s 12 participants, in number of athletes.

Between teams, Internazionale (ITA) is the one that has biggest number of players in Copa America. They number eight divided in four selections: Zanetti, Crespo, Burdisso and Cambiasso (Argentina), Maicon (Brazil), Ivan Cordova (Colombia) and Carini and Recoba (Uruguay). After Inter, the teams with the biggest number of player in Copa America are : Caracas-VEN (7), Colo Colo-CHI (7), Juniors-ARG (6), Chivas Guadalajara-MEX (6), America-MEX (5), Cienciano-PER (5), LDU Quito-ECU (5) and Pachuca (MEX).

Of the 12 participant countries in Copa America, Brazil is the one that has fewer players acting in teams of its country. They number only 4, against 18 foreigners.

I was surprised when I was looking at the rosters to see so many players from the Mexican league. So why is it? There are 15 non-Mexicans from the Mex League at the Copa compare to just 5 from Brazil and 11 from Argentina which are considered the best two leagues in the Americas. Is Mexico where the money is or is there great scouting or is there something else?
Galo
most mexican teams has more money than some teams in Brazil and Argentina

Europe is for Spain, America is for Mexico as far as bussiness and pay, thats why it's so complex to export mexican players.
