Call-ups: Dida, Roma, Storari, Antonini, Favalli, Jankulovski, Kaladze, Nesta, Zambrotta, Abate, Ambrosini, Flamini, Gattuso, Pirlo, Seedorf, Borriello, Inzaghi, Huntelaar, Pato, Ronaldinho.

Unavailable players: Bonera, Oddo, Thiago Silva, Onyewu, Di Gennaro.

La Gazzetta reckons that Kala will start alongside Nesta. Rather have Favalli in there, tbh.

Not the easiest way to end the first half of the season. Wouldn't surprise me if it ended as a draw.
il capitano
need Milan to win this, gotta keep Fiorentina off our back for a little while
a draw will do

I almost read that Kaka, thought you were in denial lol.
Tobinho
Can't afford another f**k up. Hopefully the week of rest has helped.
Romanista
match snowed off, lol
JuveJay
Yeah it is insane even across Europe, I was just thinking earlier if this would be on as my auntie was saying the snow was bad. In Tuscany lol, it's hilarious. She hasn't seen anything like it for a long time.
Funki
Apparently going to be replayed sometime in January. I kept wondering why they were showing short films after another on RAI.
music_man
was a boring first half imo
Tobinho
Damn.

Tobinho
Do you know how much snow they have in Siena Jay?
JuveJay

That's the piazza today. They don't live exactly in Siena itself but it snowed for about a day solid, a few inches.
Tobinho
Thanks. Love that piazza. clap.gif It was clearly possible to play then, I guess Tuscans aren't used to snow so it would have been dangerous.
JuveJay
It seems a case of people thinking it wouldn't be bad enough, as you say, they don't get it too often. Usually only a light dusting in January at worst. Pretty amazing to see some of the pictures actually.
JuveJay
Seems the officials were more worried about the ice and fan safety, as it is still freezing and very slippy. Weird.
Tobinho
The first open date seems to be January 27th. Should have just played it FFS.
fantasista
I've played in -20, I would've just toughed it out. tongue.gif

Looks like they thought it'd be unfair to the supporters if those matches were played behind closed doors.
Tobinho
23 inches of snow in Philly and the NFL game is okay to go ahead. Useless Tuscans. dry.gif

^ Funnily enough the match in Livorno was played, I can't imagine that one part of Toscana got hit by significantly more snow than the other...? blink.gif The issue though in Firenze was that the stands were covered in snow and ice, they said the pitch was actually fine. Livorno's stadium is open air though as well so I'm not sure what the difference was.
JuveJay

Looked terrible huh.gif
Funki
All the called-off matches were because of the ice in the stands, which was thought to be dangerous for the supporters, not due to pitch conditions. And officials did not want them to be played behind closed doors.
brasil5x
when is this game going to be played?
Funki
January 27.
brasil5x
is it before or after derby
Funki
After.

thanks

Finally, the replay. Now lets not slip-up, get the three points, get back to second spot and put some pressure on those w*nkers.

they let it slip
JuveJay
Good, Milan are only -4 now, but Fiorentina are dreadful. They won't make the CL this year.
JuveJay
Didn't see most of this but most accounts say Milan were very lucky, Fiorentina didn't kill the game off at 1-0, it's becoming a big problem for them.
JuveJay
QUOTE
“In all honesty, I have heard the opinions of many people involved and must admit Fiorentina deserved a penalty,” confessed Leonardo.

“However, the referee clearly played the advantage. The foul on Montolivo was there, but Roberto Rosetti let play continue because Keirrison had the ball.”

Who the fuck plays advantage on a penalty call? huh.gif
JuveJay
QUOTE
“Fiorentina announce that due to the refereeing performance today, the club is holding a Press silence,” read a statement.

It's the Moggi system!
Funki
Perhaps he let play continue because there was yet another incompetent blind ref moment and did not see the foul?

It appears that just a few players played well. Flamini seemed to make a difference after he came on. Perhaps that will prompt Leo to play him some more.
JuveJay
Either way it is good Milan won, it puts pressure on Inter, even if I'm not certain Milan have it in them to sustain a strong challenge the whole way. They will need Ronaldinho to keep notching up the assists.
Tobinho
Very important win. I couldn't see the game but it sounds like a couple of players made the key plays, seems like Abbiati made two exceptional saves and Ronaldinho assisted both the goals.
Tobinho
Nice finish by Huntelaar.

Not quite:

2 vs Udinese
1 vs Man Utd and 1 goal
1 vs Bari
2 vs Fiorentina

extremely impressive though. He did play big roles in two other goals, Pato scored against Bari after Ronaldinho's shot was saved and against Udinese Ronaldinho's cross was flicked on to Huntelaar who scored. He's basically made or scored every goal that Milan have scored in those 4 games, which are the only 4 games since Milan went through a bad patch of form. Completely reliant on Ronaldinho at the moment.
Funki
It's nice that he's producing but I hate it when we're reliant on one player. When he loses form, we tend to get lost a bit. We went through that too many times when Kaká was around.
