Looks like Michel Bastos is pretty much 90% done. Juve want, Lyon want to sell, and the player is very keen to join us. Only the fee and wages to decide really.

Buffon seeks Menez exchange?
Gianluigi Buffon had a ‘clear the air’ meeting with Marco Storari and Juventus, but is continually linked with an exchange for Roma’s Jeremy Menez.
The Italy goalkeeper missed last week’s 2-0 win at the Olimpico with a bout of flu and has not been back in training all week.
Storari did a great job replacing him and made it very clear he thought he deserved the starting spot. “Only someone who is blind couldn’t see what I’m doing and I hope the Coach is not blind.”
This power play reportedly infuriated Buffon and Tuttosport claims there was a ‘clear the air’ meeting between the two players on Friday.
Agent Silvano Martina also met with Juventus directors and the newspapers suggest an exit is increasingly likely.
The new Roma under American magnate Thomas Di Benedetto are looking to improve their squad and Buffon would be a big star name.
In exchange, the Giallorossi are offering unsettled Menez to Juventus, but there are some problems in this move.
Buffon is nine years older than Menez and earns over €4m more than the French winger, so a straight swap is implausible.
http://football-italia.net/apr09e.htmlwhat the f**k are these tossers doing, exchanging the only player who who has a potential of being world class in Roma
ive never seen such idiocy, i hope this is not true but he hasn't been called for the Udinese game so i don't know what are they thinking

I'd rather eat my own face. Buffon for Menez lol. Menez might be talented but he's trouble in my opinion, he's fell out with every club he has been at as a professional. He's also more talent than end product, but that will come in time. As a Juventus fan I don't know how, in any way, you could even contemplate such a swap. Menez is the sort of player we could pick up every 2-3 years from South America or one of the latin European countries. Buffon is a club symbol and an all-time legendary goalkeeper. Some think he is finished but it's just not the case, he just has some mental doubts because of our loser team and his past injuries. If we sell Buffon we might as well put the club up for sale and turn the new stadium into a casino.

Rolando from Porto (DC) linked, would cost over €15m being from Porto. Meh.
Jorge Fucile (DR & DL) also linked, he's better than what we have but not brilliant. Meh.
And another Porto player linked, midfielder Fernando.
I guess we spoke to someone from Porto...Pointless shopping there, we'll get ripped off.

Hernandez

Juve have spent big three summer is a row now, and have had less than nothing to show for it. Hell, they got better results before they started spending more ambitiously. The first thing they need to do is hire a manager who's a PROVEN winner. Stop throwing the dice on somebody who's had one good season elsewhere or has no experience at all. Of course, it's a lot easier to get results while still learning when you already have a fantastic squad at your disposal- ala Allegri with Milan- but Juve don't have that luxury. They need to go out and bring in someone with the pedigree of Capello or Lippi, which is exactly what they did in the past, it's this ridiculous farsopoli-induced inferiority complex which makes them seem to think they can't get anyone good.
One good sign though is that unlike last season's signings, all of this year's haven't been total flops, and Felipe Melo has redeemed himself. Jorge Martinez was a complete waste of money though and Marco Motta needs to leave. Injuries also played a big part this season, when Q-tube went down it all started to go downhill. But they need to go after some players with PROVEN ability to play at the very highest level, Marotta buys like he's trying to get a club into the Europa League, like at Sampdoria, not like he's trying to win a Scudetto.

Sign Menez and Hazard, says Zidane
Juventus legend Zinedine Zidane has suggested that the Turin giants make a move for Jeremy Menez and Eden Hazard.
The Old Lady will freshen up their squad in the summer and the French fantasista has told Tuttosport whom he thinks the Old Lady should target.
“Menez has class and a certain amount of experience too at this stage of his career,” he said of the Roma attacking midfielder.
“I think he’d be a good fit at Juventus.”
Menez is expected to leave the Stadio Olimpico outfit in the summer after a tough campaign which has seen some fans turn on him.
Meanwhile, Zizou highlighted a Ligue 1 player who may be set for a bright future in European football.
“Hazard is a very good player, but I don’t know if he will be my successor,” Zidane noted. “He certainly represents the best talents of the future.
“He’s very quick and could become a great.”
Hazard, born in Belgium in 1991, plays for Lille in France and has been a part of the Belgian national set-up since 2008.
http://football-italia.net/apr22f.htmlThose Menez rumors seem to never end, I would say it's 50-50 at this stage whether he joins Juve or not.

He doesn't seem like a Delneri or Marotta signing, he's always been an individual and hothead.
Hazard would be fantastic, I know he has been recommended strongly by our French scout, but surely most of Europe wants him. For €25m we could surely get him from Lille, the only sell we have is our name and the chance to turn him into a great, just like Zizou.

Seems Juve have signed two Brazilian brothers with EU passports, Gabriel Appelt Pires and Guilherme Appelt Pires. Gabriel is a left footer, looks like he can play anywhere from DC, DL to ML, MC and AM. Guilherme is a striker. Gabriel is 17, Guilherme is 18.
€3m for the pair of them from Resende. Gabriel will get €0.4m per year, 5 year contract.

Report: Juve sign Appelt brothers
Reports in Italy claim Juventus have agreed to sign top Brazilian prospects Gabriel and Guilherme Appelt.
No official announcement has yet been made, but Il Corriere dello Sport insists that a meeting held today in Turin between Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta, his right-hand man Fabio Paratici and the Appelt brothers' father who also acts as their agent was definitive.
Gabriel Appelt has been a revelation this season in Brazil, attracting interest from Liverpool and Inter.
The young central midfielder recently came to prominence by marking Ronaldinho out of a game between Resende and Flamengo.
His brother Guilherme is a year older and plays in attack.
Both will apparently arrive in Turin at the end of the season. Conveniently, they already possess European passports.

Tony Huston, extremely promising 'new Thuram' from Le Mans has been linked, DRC, 17, French. According to the Italian media (lol) he won't talk further to Inter as he has already agreed to move to Juve.
TBH we should be doing much more in the French market anyway, just look through our club: Platini, Deschamps, Zidane, Trezeguet, Thuram, and of course that dipshit called JC Blanc.

Juve make Beck contact
German club Hoffenheim have revealed that Juventus want to sign Andreas Beck. “They’ve asked us for him.”
The 24-year-old has been paired with the Old Lady in recent months and talks seem to have begun.
“The Bianconeri have asked us for him,” sporting director Ernst Tanner told Bild. “He now needs to make a decision in the next few days.
“For this reason we will soon be speaking with him. We don’t want to pressure him, seeing as his contract runs until 2012, but we just want clarity.”
Beck, a right-back, started his career at Stuttgart before his July 2008 switch to his present Bundesliga outfit.
Capped by Germany at Under-18, U-19, U-20, U-21 and full international level, he’s valued at around €13m.
Given that his contract has less than 18 months left to run, it is thought that Juve believe they can net him for a lower fee.

Looks like he's our choice for RB. I'm not particularly happy or upset, he's better than what we have and has some potential for growth, but doesn't come across as a strong character.

We're quite close to Beck, we've offered €6m and they want €8m.
Michel Bastos is also maybe close according to the press, around €18m

Have there been any recent rumors with Rossi & Juve? With Aguero going to Man City, does that increase the likelihood of Rossi to Juve (or Inter)?
