Chilean International Humberto Suazo has joined Real Zargoza on a six month loan deal with the Spanish club having the option to make the move permanent in the summer.

The prolific striker has been linked with moves to clubs all across Europe over the last month and Blanquillos had to beat off stiff opposition for the forward’s signature.

Suazo, who finished as top scorer in CONMEBOL FIFA World Cup 2010 Qualifying with 10 goals, boasts a quite incredible goal-scoring record both in his native homeland and in Mexican football, where he has been starring for Monterrey since 2007.

Widely regarded as one of the top strikers playing outside of Europe, the Chilean will provide the Spaniards with some much needed fire-power up front.

Zaragoza currently sit second from bottom in La Liga and have scored just 18 goals in their 17 league fixtures.

Suazo, 28, is said to be delighted at finally sealing a move to Europe and is quoted in El Periodico de Aragon as saying, “I know Zaragoza is not the type of team that looks downward. We will try to go up and I will try to score.”
