Based on very little, I am predicting him for Brilliance.
A mixture of David Batty and Lee Bowyer brilliance.
Stretch will enjoy looking back at this thread at the end of the season, and marvelling at ma skillz.

First step to Brilliance: one month loan at Peterborough. He went down today. Go on lad, get crunching bones and scoring goals. The shirt in the middle of the five will be yours come January!

Clayton is on for Pboro now although they're 3-0 down at St Mary's. Would be good if all three of our loanies scored for their clubs today.

Clayton started tonight for Pboro against Orient. Current score 1-1.

According to Larry he has made a good impression for them in the two games.

To be honest, I think Grayson Just Likes Clayton For Whatever Reason. But that sort of treatment squeezes performances out of Howson so no reason why it won't turn Clayton into AMOBDALB (A Mix Of David Batty and Lee Bowyer). Amobdalb!

I really can't predict anything without seeing him in action, other than a player of similar position Jack Wilshere will be actual world class, where as Clayton will possibly be good...ish....by Championship standards.....
Smudge
Dec 7 2010, 07:56 PM
Look I'm not being funny but if you want to talk about Wilshere, will you go back to the Arsenal forum? I can't believe you've soiled by Clayton AMODBALB thread.

Clayton played 90 minutes for Pboro today after a lot of their fixtures have been postponed due to bad weather. He had the most fouls (3) of the Pboro side....the opposition player with the most fouls? David Prutton!

We announced yesterday that we defo have a recall clause to get Claytes back before the end of January if required. Obviously quite important with Killa in Qatar and BJ possibly leaving.

Not sure about Clayton, as i've not seen enough of him.
What does stick out in my memory, HT Barnsley away (try to forget that game), he was warming up with the rest of the subs, passing the ball 20/30 yards, he was the only one who could control and pass the ball accuratly (hughes was the worst, obviously).
I guess his Leeds future depends on who/if we bring anyone in now the window is open.
Clearly SG sees something in him he likes, or he wouldn't have bought him, as he does not buy players for the sake of it

Clayton has a big future. It's a shame he's been injured.
His tekkers are mint.

It sounds like Nunez has had a good few weeks, so I think he might be ahead of Clayton when he's back. (sorry smudge, i know you want clayton to be new snoddy)
Smudge
Jan 26 2011, 07:09 PM
I don't want CLayton to be the new Snoddy, I want him to be the new LEe Bowyer and David BAtty, what is so hard to understand about that
Not worried about Clayton, he was always going to be down the pecking order. Simon wouldn't have signed him if he didn't have a future with us. I've also managed to weed out a Peterborough fan at work who'd been giving me tidbits about Clayton's performances.
Guess I've got no use for that colleague now. You're fired!

Jan 28 2011, 11:12 PM
So...Peterborough have asked if they can have Clayts till the end of the season. Grayson not prepared to agree at the moment - suppose it depends if we lose Bradley/get another midfielder.

Lol reminded me I never seen the end of Apprentice, some of them were on this morning a while back I think her name is Joanna but she always seems to come across really well and if I had the power I'd employ her
Smudge
Feb 24 2011, 07:39 PM
I liked Joanna. She was abit of a loose cannon and was totally out of her depth by the end of it but she is a nice working class mother done well, which is something for her to be proud of for herself.
ANYWAY: I think Clayton should play on Saturday although it's obviously not going to be him coming in for Bradley.

He's at MK Dons on loan til EOS. Funny really, he scored the winning goal against Carlisle who he played for all last season on loan and while at Carlisle, he actually scored against us. He's obviously a legend in the making.

Thanks, I'd like to thank my Mum and Dad for making me, God for guiding the way, Mr and Mrs Clayton for having Adam Clayton, dodgy oil people for buying Man City, Dusty Miller for signing Clayton and all the other people who helped make this happen.
To be honest, when you have a player with top technique they are only ever going to fail. I knew from the first second I heard him talk that he was ready to do what needed to be done to make it with us. Some people got that (Clayton), some people don't (Grella).
